When God had made the earth and sky,
The flowers and the trees.
He then made all the animals,
The fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He’d finished,
Not one was quite the same.
He said, “I’ll walk this world of mine,
And give each one a name.”
And so He traveled far and wide
And everywhere He went,
A little creature followed Him
Until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
And in the sky and sea,
The little creature said, “Dear Lord,
There’s not one left for me.”
Kindly the Father said to him,
“I’ve left you to the end.
I’ve turned my own name back to front
And called you dog, my friend.”

Awwww. I am choked up on this one. So very sweet. 😉
The dog pictured is our 9 month-old Tara! 🙂
I recognized your little girl. 😉 a real cutie.
Thanks, Kimberly, she’s nearly as cute as Pee.
Aww, a very sweet story 🙂
Isn’t it! 🙂
Beautiful images and words – so touching! : )))
We dog-lovers can relate to the words. 🙂
I don’t have any pet dogs or cats or mice or rats. But I know what joy a dog can bring to people. My son’s dog is devoted to him and vise versa. 🙂
Your son’s dog is absolutely gorgeous. A dog is god spelled backwards.
You don’t have to convince me to love animals and respect their part in this world.
It’s easy to love them. 🙂
Lovely 🙂
Thanks, ghia. How’s your new pup?
The pup is doing well. Moving in to the stage where he rips open rubbish bags and digs holes in the garden 😉
But he just looks at you with that smile on his face and all is forgiven 🙂
Yes, it’s hard to stay mad at them.
I’ll say this again: dog is god spelled backwards. What a beautiful story, pictures and love Tara go with it. Of course, the master is always you. Ola.
I often think that Tara’s the master in our house! Ola!
