Suddenly, people are up and about,
Not sheltered behind closed doors.
Skating, swimming, hey – ‘don’t shout’!
Suddenly, they are not mere bores.
Kids are racing in glee,
Boisterous dogs are barking:
‘You can’t catch me!’
Life is again marching.
Sunshine, warm and bright-
The hallmark of Summer!
It is my delight
Not a whinge will I murmur.
What is that I see?
The leaves are turning brown already!
Even the ones by the sea.
Before you know it, Autumn is ready!
