I started listening to the wolves in the timber at night. I don’t know how they found me, I’ll never know quite how.
– Josh Ritter

An old Cherokee told his grandson, “My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy and truth.”

The boy thought about it and asked,”Grandfather, which wolf wins?”

The old man quietly replied, “The one you feed.”

  1. Which wolf do you feed?

  2. I like this little story very much. It’s so simple, and so true.

  3. Such a thoughtful and true story. I know it in German as well. Which wolf do I feed ..I always try to feed the good one. But if we are honest – the evil one in us won’t give up so easily – he’ll keep on trying to get his share too, and it’s up to us to prevent this..

  4. Yes, isn’t it fabulous?!
